Field Application Engineer

Overview

This role will be responsible for technically interacting with customers in various key LEMOPTIX markets such as industrial, automotive and consumer across various technical fields (MEMS, optics and electronics). The role requires to efficiently understand customer’s need and by developing inside Lemoptix enough background technical knowledge, to efficiently advise them and technically define proposals to solve technical issues. An important element of this position is the ability to act as a liaison between the company’s R&D team and international prospects/customers, by understanding and formulating external needs and communicating them to the engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure technical interfacing with customers in all LEMOPTIX application fields and markets (consumer mobile electronics devices and automotive)
  • Description, planning and project management of customer customization projects
  • Provide constant technical support to customers, with interaction with LEMOPTIX technical team
  • Establish strong customer relationship at the highest technical level
  • Work jointly with the sales team at LEMOPTIX for customer acquisition and customer long-term relationship
  • Provide feedback of customer requirements to the technical team
  • Contribute to building a solid product roadmap for the next generation of products, in close collaboration with company management and engineering team
Positon Requirements
  • Technical engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) in one of the key LEMOPTIX technical or application field (MEMS, optics, Electroncis)
  • Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams and in multi-disciplinary markets
  • At ease in international environments, willing to travel extensively (40% of time, worldwide)
  • Previous experience as FAE with international exposure required
  • Experience in technology transfer is a plus
  • Experience in display/video projectors is a plus
  • Experience in consumer electronics and/or the automotive sector is a plus

Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Description

As a senior modeling and simulation engineer, you will work closely with our technical and development team in the field of MEMS mirror devices. You will be responsible for the modeling, simulation, testing and reliability of our MEMS micromirror products, from conception to mass production. Key requirements for this position are of course excellent general technical skills, complemented by good personal attributes, such as the ability to work in a team as well as striving independently towards set goals with a dynamic and positive mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Analytical and Finite Element Modeling
  • Development of tools for reliable MEMS design
  • Layout of prototype and production design
  • Characterisation and working test
  • Failure analysis and design improvement
  • Documentation (Model, design, test)
  • Definition of aging specifications and setup of test environment
  • Support the process improvement
  • Support the commercial team for new project acquisition
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: MS in Applied Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in MEMS design and multiphysics FEA
  • Strong knowledge of Comsol tools
  • Very good skills in analytical, finite element modeling and design software (Comsol, multiphysic, Matlab, L-edit, Clewin, Coventor, Ansys...)
  • Good practical skills of metrology equipment (SEM, EDX, Optical interferometer, etc...)
  • Good knowledge of MEMS process fabrication
  • Able to communicate in English and/or French
